The second phase of industrial action at Valley Vets in South Wales will commence tomorrow, 6th August.

Workers will strike for just under 3 weeks, from Tuesday 6th August 2024 until Friday 23rd August.

As always, the union hopes that VetPartners will return to negotiations. Strike action is a last resort, and with a fair deal it can be avoided.
Animals needing emergency medical treatment will continue to be attended to. The union member’s are providing ‘emergency derogation’ so that animal welfare is maintained. This means that members who are on strike will still be working through the strike to treat the patients that urgently need to be seen.
