9th February 2026
On the 24th January one of our reps attended the Cambridge Vet School Careers Fair.
It was great to have the opportunity to chat to some really engaged students, some of whom were already well clued up on trade unions and others whom it was their first time hearing about us.
Those nearing graduation were particularly interested in contract negotiation and finding a supportive workplace for their first steps in the profession.
However, the message that really shone through was the appreciation and solidarity surrounding the recent threats to the future of the Cambridge Vet School and the union’s ongoing support of the ’save the vet school’ campaign.
Following a lovely day with wonderful students, we hope the BVU will be in attendance at Cambridge careers fairs for many more years to come!
