Suzy recently attended Nottingham’s Careers Fair & here’s what she has to say about it:
“It was great to be at Nottingham Vet School’s careers fair on Saturday!
Thanks for having us!
It was wonderful to meet so many engaged and enthusiastic students, and have discussions with them about trade unionism in the veterinary sector.
We know that first jobs can often be a point in veterinary careers where you don’t know what to expect, what is normal, or even, what is legal. The BVU is here to support you through that transition from student to worker, offer advice and answer questions, and provide you with the support, representation and protection you might need if something does go wrong.
We also offer a contract reading service to members, and our student membership is just £3.03/ month (at time of writing)! If you haven’t already, join us!”
