HEARD SOMETHING BAD ABOUTVALLEY VETS STRIKERS? Ask yourself, is this actually true? Or could this be a lie spread by those wishing to defeat the cause of the union members who have stood up to VetPartners…. Here we set the record straight on a few of the FALSE rumours that have been spread during the strike:
- “Strikers on the picket line stopped oxygen deliveries to the practice”: FALSE
- “Strikers on the picket line put a few Fair Fees, Fair Pay, and Smaller profits stickers on some oxygen cylinders”: TRUE
- “Strikers on the picket line prevented drug deliveries”: FALSE
- “Strikers on the picket line spoke to the posties who were reluctant to cross a picket line and said they ought to make sure the drugs got through”: TRUE
- “Strikers failed to provide emergency cover and this resulted in animal suffering”: FALSE
- “The employer suddenly threatened to ‘escalate matters to the RCVS’ if they did not provide emergency derogations with less than 24 hours notice at a bank holiday weekend”: TRUE
